Easy Apple Cake

Easy Apple Cake

I’m always looking for the simplest, yet delicious dessert recipes to try. This easy Apple Cake was on my to-bake list for a long time now. It’s very moist and fluffy and really quick and easy to make.

You can always make this easy apple cake without having to go shopping, as I’m pretty sure you already have the ingredients in your kitchen. This is what I call an easy dessert. And you really can’t go wrong with this.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250g flour
  • 110g soft butter
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 150g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 75 ml milk
  • 4-5 apples
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • a pinch of salt

STEPS

Preheat oven to 175C.

Lightly grease a round cake pan with butter.

Peel and chop your apples into small squares. Then, arrange them at the bottom of your pan. You can use any kind of apples.

In a bowl, beat soft butter and sugar together. Gradually add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla extract and mix until combined.

In a larger bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.

Mix the dry ingredients with the egg mixture. Try not to over mix!

Then add room temperature milk and continue mixing until combined.

Pour the batter over chopped apples and smooth the surface.

You can use some apple slices to decorate the top.

Bake the apple cake until golden or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Cool completely at room temperature.

Sprinkle some icing sugar over the top before serving.

I told you this is a very simple cake. The biggest job is peeling and chopping the apples 🙂

If you want to freeze this cake, you can absolutely do it. Just let it cool completely and wrap it in foil.
