Soft chocolate chip cookies are a perfect treat that both kids and adults will enjoy.
I don’t like cookies, I love them! There are so many types for cookies: sugar cookies, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, chewy oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip cookies and so on… and I love searching for recipes, experimenting and learning ways to decorate them.
Today I start with a quick and easy but still delicious cookie recipe – Chocolate Chip Cookies. It’s hard to go wrong with this recipe, so everyone can try and bake it. Just a few simple steps and it’s all done!
This simple recipe is one of my favorite because it takes only 10 minutes for preparation, about 15 minutes for baking and only 8 ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboard. So, it’s definitely worth giving it a try.
INGREDIENTS
- 100g unsalted butter
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 large free-range egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200g self-raising flour
- 100g chocolate chips
- a pinch of salt
STEPS
Preheat oven to 170°C/ 350°F and prepare two baking trays lined with parchment paper.
Beat together the sugar and melted butter. Add the egg and vanilla extract. After mixing well, sift in the flour and salt. Now stir in the chocolate chips.
Mix everything well. Once you get a dough texture, take some of the dough, roll into small balls than flatten slightly with your fingers and place on the baking trays.
Bake cookies for 12-15 min or until edges are lightly golden. Make sure you don’t overdo them. In conclusion, you get about 20 super delicious soft chocolate chip cookies.
Delicious treat!
